Frail Cher hits dance

SKINNY Cher Lloyd headed to the dance studio this morning - despite fears for her plumetting weight.
The quirky brunette, who controversially made it through to the live finals of The X Factor, has been looking increasingly frail over the past few weeks.

But she'll still have to practise her erergetic routines for the show along with the other contestants, despite the fact that it could make her even skinnier.

And she looked happier today than she's done in recent days, giving a small smile for snappers.

The 17-year-old hopeful, who was chosen as one of Cheryl Cole's three acts for the live shows despite completely fluffing her performance at judges' house, has defended her place in the final 12.

She told X Magazine: "I know I didn't do too well at Cheryl's house, but I do deserve to be in the show. I know what I'm capable of, I just need to work at it."

Cher, who went through ahead of note-perfect singers like Gamu Nhengu and Treyc Cohen, has disappointed viewers since her first audition but says her debut performance wasn't a fluke.

She said: "I'm not a one-trick pony - I'm not just the white girl that raps. I'm no Whitney, I'm no Beyoncé, but there's lots I can do.

"It's getting quite intense, but I'm more excited than nervous at this point."

Show bosses fear Cher may be unable to cope with the pressure of the show and have allocated the fragile teen her own trained counsellor to offer support 24 hours a day.
